The Credit Card Automation Autopilot Wizard in Sympl enhances operational efficiency by automating processes based on credit card status. It includes automatic updates to booking statuses and email notifications for both guests and Sympl users when a credit card is accepted, deleted, declined, or rejected. This automation improves communication, ensures timely follow-ups, and simplifies credit card processing.
How to Access the Credit Card Automation Autopilot Wizard
Navigate to the Automations menu in the top menu bar.

Click on the “Autopilot ” button.

Select the Credit Card option on the Autopilot overlay to view the available automation options for Credit Card processing.

Available Credit Card Automation Events
1. Accepted Tab
When a credit card is accepted, you can perform the following actions:
Mark Booking Status as Confirmed: Automatically update the booking status to "Confirmed" once the credit card is accepted.
Notify Guest via Email: Send an email to the guest with a pre-filled template that you can customize. This notification informs the guest that their card has been accepted, and their booking is confirmed.
Notify Sympl Users via Email: Notify multiple Sympl users with an automatically drafted email template. You can edit the template or select a different one using the "Template" button.

2. Deleted Tab
When a credit card is deleted, you can:
Mark Booking Status as "Mark for Follow-up": Change the booking status to "Mark for Follow-up" to indicate that further action is needed regarding the booking.
Notify Sympl Users via Email: Notify relevant Sympl users by sending an email notification. The template will be drafted automatically, and you can customize it as needed by clicking the "Template" button.

3. Declined Tab
When a credit card is declined, you can:
Mark Booking Status as "Mark for Follow-up": Update the booking status to "Mark for Follow-up" to indicate that follow-up is required.
Mark Booking Status as "Unpaid": Change the booking status to "Unpaid" when the credit card is declined.
Notify Sympl Users via Email: Send email notifications to selected Sympl users. The email template is automatically drafted, and you can edit or select a different template by clicking the "Template" button.

4. Rejected Tab
When a credit card is rejected, you can:
Mark Booking Status as "Mark for Follow-up": Update the booking status to "Mark for Follow-up" to indicate that follow-up is needed.
Mark Booking Status as "Unpaid": Change the booking status to "Unpaid" when the credit card is rejected.
Notify Sympl Users via Email: Notify selected Sympl users via email. You can customize the template as needed by editing or selecting a different one by clicking the "Template" button.
